About the Event:
The ProBono India is in collaboration with Dr. Chintan Pathak & Associates organizing the 5th edition of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam National Legal Essay Competition.

Theme: SOCIO-LEGAL IMPACT OF COVID-19 IN INDIA


Sub Themes:

The list of sub-themes is illustrative and not exhaustive; the authors may select any other sub-theme in consonance to the main theme.

  Eligibility: 
Competition is open for all bonafide students enrolled in any Course in any recognized College or the University of India. Co-authorship is limited to one author.


Submission Guidelines  :
The essays should be the original and unpublished work of the author/s.

Word Limit- 4500 to 5000 words
Font: New Times Roman,
Font size – 12
Spacing- 1.5
Font size and spacing for Footnotes shall be the same as the body of Essay.

The Manuscripts, Cover Page and a Scanned copy of Valid Student ID should be sent via email to probono.in@gmail.com in the MS Word format latest by 10 p.m. IST, September 30, 2020,
 10-00 pm.

The Cover Page should contain the following details of the author/s:
  • Name
  • Affiliation
  • Email ID
  • Mobile Number
The manuscripts should not bear any details of the author.

JUDGMENT CRITERIA:
The Essays shall be reviewed by Faculty Members of the `reputed Law Colleges.

AWARDS:
The best three essays shall be given a Certificate and a Memento along with the Prize money.  

 Cash Prizes:
 Winner - INR 5,000
1st Runner Up – INR  3,000

2nd Runner Up- INR 2,000.

Added Incentive: 
  • The selected essays bearing quality content shall be published in any Book / Journal / Magazine / Electronic Resource or any other platform depending upon the number of entries received
  • All participants shall receive a Certificate of Participation.

   The Copyright of the essays submitted shall solely vest in the Organizers.
