About the Course

Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur in association with Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab is starting Four PG Diploma Courses from October 2020. These courses shall be offered from the academic Year 2020-21 in “Distance Education Mode”.
The University invites online applications for admission to the following PG Diploma Courses through Distance learning mode for the Academic Year 2020-21.
  1. Postgraduate Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution (PGDADR)
  2. Postgraduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution (PGDFDR)
  3. Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Laws and Policy (PGDELP)
  4. Postgraduate Diploma in Mediation (PGDM)

Course Structure

These courses will be conducted in a blended learning format with online and in-person Classes which will be notified from time to time. Currently, all academic activities of the University are suspended due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
Online mode of teaching is opted for all regular and distance education courses offered by the University. Accordingly, till the University reopens the classes of the PG Diploma Courses 2020-21 academic sessions will also be conducted through the online platforms used by the University. Physical classes of the PG Diploma Courses will be conducted after the academic activities of the University resume.

Duration

The PG Diploma courses will be spread over two semesters and there will be 20 hours of contact classes in every semester.
Contact classes will be scheduled in the month of October-November and April-May of the academic year for two weeks and exams will be conducted in the First weekend of February and July respectively.

Important Dates

  • Date of Advertisement September 5, 2020
  • The Last Date to submit application October 05, 2020, in the prescribed format.
  • Commencement of session October 16, 2020 (Tentative)
  • The results will be published in September 2021.

Eligibility and Admission Procedure

  • The eligibility for admission to Diploma Courses shall be any graduate with not less than 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories) from a recognized University.
  • Students undertaking five-year integrated Degree Courses shall be eligible for admission (only Fourth and Fifth Year students).
  • There is no age limit. Professionals and Employees are also eligible for admission. Interested candidates have to submit the duly filled online application along with other enclosures and fee.

Selection Process

The admission to Diploma Courses shall be on the basis of inter se merit prepared on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination and any other criterion prescribed by the University.
