About the Quiz Competition

With the resounding success of the 4th National Amity Quiz on Constitutional Law (AQCL), Amity Law School, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus, is delighted to announce the eagerly awaited 5th edition – AQCL – V.

This year, we are embracing the timeless charm of an offline format, extending a warm invitation to esteemed law colleges across India. Our aspiration is for this event to serve as a unifying platform, dedicated to nurturing the enduring Constitutional spirit enshrined within our revered document.

As we gather for this intellectual symphony, our objectives are twofold: to provide a comprehensive insight into the intricate Constitutional challenges and evolving national events, and to ignite a fervent sense of patriotism and honor for our great Nation within the future generation of legal advocates.

Join us on this enlightening journey, as we celebrate the Essence of Constitutionalism, where academia converges to illuminate the path forward, and reverence for our Nation is sown as a cornerstone in the hearts of our upcoming legal luminaries.

Theme

The Indian Constitution, a profound testament to the collective wisdom of our nation’s visionaries, transcends its role as a mere administrative guide. It stands resolute as the bedrock upon which the very fabric of India’s existence as a sovereign entity is intricately woven. Adorned with the luminous ideals of equality, fraternity, and justice, the Constitution serves as a reverent commemoration of the indomitable spirit and sacrifices of our freedom fighters, while also encapsulating the soaring aspirations of its framers.

As conscientious citizens, we bear a solemn duty to uphold and epitomize the true ethos of our Constitutional mandate. A robust understanding of the Constitution emerges as an imperative prelude to effectively discharge our duties towards our motherland.

Embracing this imperative, Amity Law School, nestled within the dynamic realms of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus, takes immense pride in announcing the advent of the 5th National Amity Quiz on Constitutional Law (AQCL) for the year 2023.

This unique platform is conceived not solely as a venue for participants to partake in spirited competition, but rather as an intellectual crucible wherein their grasp and interpretation of the intricate tapestry of the Indian Constitution shall undergo rigorous examination. Beyond the realms of competition, this event aspires to evolve into a cornerstone for amplifying participants’ academic acumen, cultivating a nuanced comprehension of the profound principles enshrined within the Constitution.

In its culmination, the 5th National Amity Quiz on Constitutional Law (AQCL) 2023 emerges as a harmonious confluence of intellect, a jubilant celebration of constitutional values, and a dedicated arena for the nurturing of erudition. It extends an inviting call to all inquisitive minds, promising an odyssey of transformation through the avenues of exploration, enlightenment, and the inexhaustible enrichment of intellect.

General Rules

  • A single participant entry is eligible.
  • Replacement of any participant is not allowed after registration.
  • Students must carry College ID cards, or a Letter of Approval signed by the HOI of their respective institutions.
  • The participants will not be allowed to use mobile or any other electronic instruments/gadgets.
  • The questions shall be in the form of MCQ, True / False Statements (For Preliminary and Semi-Final Rounds)
  • The final Round will be in Audio-Visual Mode.
  • Participants will be given a unique identification code related to the competition, subject to the final decision of the Core Committee.
  • The decision of the Core Committee will be final and will not be subject to any change.
  • The registration fee is non-refundable.

Eligibility

  • Students pursuing 5-year Law Courses, 3-year Law Courses
  • Under-graduate social science student (who have studied Constitutional Law)
  • School Students (classes 11 & 12) studying legal studies can participate in the competition.
  • Any number of students can participate from their institution. 

Note: This competition is not a team-based competition and thus each student must participate individually.

Format of the Competition

  • Preliminary/Elimination Round
    • Each participant will be given a question paper containing 50 MCQ’s.
    • Time limit – 45 minutes.
    • There will be no negative marking.
    • Qualifying participants will be selected for the semi-final Round.
    • Note: A Cut-Off list will be made and 50% of the students will qualify for the 2nd round
  • Semi-Final Round
    • This round will be conducted in MCQ mode and will consist of 25 questions.
    • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
    • Time limit: 30 minutes
  • Final Round
    • Each participant will be asked 10 questions. (Objective questions in an Audio-Visual mode)
    • The time allotted for each question will be 1 minute.
    • In case of a tie between 2 or more participants, an additional 2 questions will be asked to decide the winner.

Awards and Prizes

  • Winner: Certificate and a cash prize of INR 15,000/-
  • 1st Runners Up: Certificate and a cash Prize of INR 11,000/-
  • 2nd Runners Up: Certificate and a cash Prize of INR 5,100/-
  • Consolation Prizes: Certificate and a cash Prize of INR 2,100/-(Each)
  • Certificate of Participation will be issued to those students who will participate in the competition and attend the valedictory session.
  • No Certificate will be provided in case of absentia.

Registration Procedure

  • The registration fee for the competition is INR 500 for Amity students (per participant) and INR 590 for non-Amity students,
  • The payment gateway will automatically open after registering through registration link.
  • The Registration link is: https://www.amity.edu/lucknow/paymentgateway/aqcl2023/
  • Each participant must confirm their registration by sending a mail to the official mail ID. The Subject of the mail will be “Registration”. The content of the mail should include:
  1. Name of the Participant
  2. Contact Number
  3. Screenshot of the payment approval. 

Accommodation

  • Accommodation will be provided to the participants free of cost in the Amity Hostels at the campus for 2 days (September 21 & 22,2023)
  • Food will be provided on a payment basis.
  • Lunch and High Tea will be provided by the University on the day of the event.
  • Students must bring their basic personal toiletries.
  • Pick and Drop service will not be provided to the participants by the University.

Important Dates

  • The last date for registration is September 15th, 2023 (23:59 hrs.)
    • The registration will be considered complete only when E-form along with the payment receipt has been mailed on the official email ID.
  • Date of Competition: September 22, 2023.
