About the Job

Elevate is recruiting a Senior Corporate Counsel, as a part of the team, you will be working for a variety of legal and compliance-related matters. As a Senior Corporate Counsel, you will report directly to the Associate General Counsel currently based in Gurgaon. Your job responsibilities will include end-to-end contract management, team management, and day-to-day work management. You will work closely with internal counterparts in support functions (Sales, HR, IT, Finance, Marketing) and business units, as well as the senior management team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications 

  • Draft, review, edit, and negotiate commercial contracts in accordance with approved template and playbook protocols.
  • Interact with Elevate's customers in the course of these negotiations.
  • Upload agreements into contract management system and prepare summary reports; facilitate creation and management of content databases
  • Use summary data and other information from signed agreements to improve playbooks, tools, and templates.
  • Deliver services efficiently by creating better processes around the work being provided

Experience

  • 3 to 6 years of in-house legal experience working for a global company.
  • Comfortable with working remotely using related technology, such as Webex, Teams, Go-To-Meeting, and similar tools to work dynamically with internal teams and external parties.
  • Experience working with legal services vendors.
  • Managing all aspects of delivery of legal support services and providing excellent customer service.
  • Preparing process documents, SOPs, tracking, improving SLAs, managing to established metrics.
  • Working with multinational Customers, including interacting with lawyers in the US, UK, Asia and Europe.
  • Experience in managing a team.

Skills for Success

  • Proven ability to work in a Customer-centric, deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent drafting skills.
  • Have excellent customer service skills with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to perform basic and complex research.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work directly work with Customers.
  • Ability to analyze and organize work for maximum efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, focused on supporting your Customers’ needs.
  • Ability to present well on the phone and in virtual conference calls.
  • Understand how to make processes more efficient

Technical Skills

  • Experienced in Microsoft Products like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Experienced in contract management software.
  • Experience using search engines and research databases like Westlaw and Lexis Nexis for legal research assignments.

 Qualifications

  • Degree in Law from a reputed university.
